Raven's Rest Cabin

Eaglecrest is located in the heart of Douglas Island’s remote mountains. The Raven's Rest Cabin is located in the upper parking lot, directly past the new electric vehicle charging station is a large two-bedroom cabin with electricity. The Cabin is supplied with electric heat and users do not need to bring fuel.

• The Raven’s Rest Cabin is a no-smoking area.

• The cabin is open to the public as a warming shelter from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• The private rental period is from 5:00 PM to 10:00 AM the next morning.
• Motorized access is forbidden within Eaglecrest’s Ski Area Boundary. Raven’s Rest Cabin is accessed directly from the upper parking lot.
• Water is not available at the cabin; guests must bring their own water supply.
• Please pack out all trash and food. There are no garbage services at the cabin.
• Dogs are not allowed on Eaglecrest during operating days between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If you stay overnight with a dog, it must be off the surrounding ski trails by 8:00 AM.
• Campfires are only allowed in the provided fire pit in front of the cabin. Any evidence of a guest chopping down firewood in the vicinity of the cabin will result in a $200 fine.
• The use of this cabin is not permitted by a commercial operator, such as an outfitter or guide.
• Hunters may not clean or hang wild game within 100 yards of the cabin perimeter. Violators will receive a $100 fine.
• Remember that ski/snowboard rentals are for same day use only and cannot be extended for overnight use.
• Discharge of firearms or fireworks is strictly prohibited within Eaglecrest’s Ski Area Boundary.
• Snow grooming, snowmaking, and other equipment may be encountered on the slopes at any time. Avoid these hazards.
• Obey all notices for restricted access to ski area terrain during avalanche hazard reduction work, which is required during snowfall or high wind events. This includes all terrain above the bottom of Porcupine and Fish Creek Lodge.
• Recreational use of the ski area is at your own risk. Hazards exist during all seasons.
• Recreating in Alaska can present both obvious and hidden dangers; please be aware of your surroundings and be prepared for extended stays due to occasionally poor weather.
• All sales are final, cabin reservations are not subject to cancellations or refunds. Rebooking is possible on a case-by-case basis. “Cabin Swap” through social media and otherwise is highly discouraged due to liability reasons.
